Everyone has one - a candle that you absolutely love, probably received as a gift, but you just don't want to burn it. Because you love it. The container matches your sitting room; it's a beautiful ornament; the scent is divine; your favourite auntie bought it for you. And when you've burned it it will be gone forever, right? Wrong! Burn it! Candles are meant to be lit! Burn it.......then refill the container!

Burn it, enjoy it and then make your own replacement candle in the container.

Use this kit to create your own container candles using cups, mugs, recycled container candles and other heat resistant objects. The kit contains:

  • 1.5 metres of wick
  • 7 wick tabs
  • 500g Container candle wax
  • 5g Dye

There are enough materials in this recycling kit to make 2 tea-cup sized container candles. Just use Our guide to wick sizes. to choose the correct wick size for your container, choose a dye if you would like one, and a scent that takes your fancy. Watch our YouTube tutorial on making container (scroll down to view) candles and you'll receive a clear set of illustrated instructions with your kit too so you'll know exactly what to do. Making container candles really is very straightforward and you'll soon be enjoying your new container candle for the second time round!

Note: you can choose which wick you would prefer by selecting from the options above but the default choice (LX16) is suitable for most tea cup sized containers.

IMPORTANT: You can also add an optional scent at a discount on the cost of buying it separately.

The candle kit is a great product, be it for own personal usage or the making of gifts for others. Very easy to follow instructions. I'm amazed at how easy I found it. Loved it. Made some Christmas gifts from it so I'm quite proud too.
    I'd recommend to anyone.

    Meaningful candles!

Posted by Unknown on 10th Oct 2014

Sorry for the delay but have only just used the candle making equipment. I invited a group of friends and we had such a lovely morning together! Well worth the effort as we all had presents to find and this gave us an ideal opportunity to catch up. It was also very satisfying to make something personal and thoughtful for our respective family /friends. My friends have already placed an order with your company.

    Wonderful "Cup of Tea".

Posted by Jan Duckmanton. on 8th Mar 2014

I recently made a "Cup of Tea"with the container kit using a very pretty bone china cup and saucer that I purchased from a charity shop for the princely sum of 25p.It looks so attractive sitting on our dinning room table that I am now trawling E.Bay to see if I can find a set of matching cups to give as a housewarming gift for my Sister. So easy to make and such a wonderful result.I would recommend this kit even for beginners as I found it easier than the votive kit.

The kit has everything you need aside from the teacup which you can easily pick up from a charity shop!

    Candles in your own containers

    Posted by V P Griffiths on 10th Jan 2014

This is a great kit and arrived really promptly. I had some little ceramic pots which had originally contained desserts from the supermarket, too good to throw out so I made them into candles, wrapped them in cellophane and ribbons and they made perfect gifts. Easy to do and a really pretty result. Lovely, thank you!
