Make two Silly Red Nose Candles with this kit!
It's that Red Nose time of year again! A bit chilly in our workshop, I've got some tissues here somewhere..... oh, yes, and some fantastic crafty fund raising going on all over the nation to raise money for some incredible projects in the UK and Africa.
New for 2017, this kit will give you mostly everything you need to join in with Red Nose 2017's Crafternoon on Friday 24th March!
Now here's the serious bit - what you'll get, what you'll need, and what we'll do too!
We'll donate £1 to the Red Nose pot for every kit purchased :)
Sainsbury's have some lovely Red Nose Day mugs that you could make your candle in, as long as you didn't want to drink tea out of it......or you might have a suitable tumbler or jam jar in the back of your kitchen cupboard that would suit. The kit comes with a pair of googley eyes and a fluffy red nose to decorate a plain container candle, like ours .......or.......everyone has one - a candle that you absolutely love, probably received as a gift, but you just don't want to burn it. Because you love it. The container matches your sitting room; it's a beautiful ornament; the scent is divine; your favourite auntie bought it for you. And when you've burned it it will be gone forever, right? Wrong! Burn it! Candles are meant to be lit! Burn it.......then refill the container!
Burn it, enjoy it and then make your own replacement candle in the container.
Use this kit to create your own container candles using cups, mugs, recycled container candles and other heat resistant objects. The kit contains:
- 1.5 metres of wick
- 7 wick tabs
- 400g Container candle wax
- 5g Red Nose Red Dye
- 2 fluffy noses and 2 pairs of googley eyes
- scent is optional and will add on a small cost - we recommend Silly Strawberry ;)
There are enough materials in this recycling kit to make 2 tea-cup sized container candles. Just use Our guide to wick sizes. to choose the correct wick size for your container, choose a dye if you would like one, and a scent that takes your fancy. Watch our YouTube tutorial on making container (scroll down to view) candles and you'll receive a clear set of illustrated instructions with your kit too so you'll know exactly what to do. Making container candles really is very straightforward and you'll soon be enjoying your new container candle for the second time round!
Note: you can choose which wick you would prefer by selecting from the options above but the default choice (LX16) is suitable for most tea cup sized containers.
